The unveiling of my hand

yesterday was a good day. my appt was at 9:30 to get my stitches out and to finally see what my hand looked like. the nurse cut off the cast and my words were, "holy crap" then i started crying when i saw it. even with as swollen as it is, it looks SOOOO much longer and i was just flooded with relief that i might hopefully finally be able to use my hand more. she took out 17 stitches and it didnt hurt at all, thank god. when they took out my stitches from the amputation it was horrible horrible pain and i was swearing left and right. i saw my doc again and he said no using it for a week, so we will se how work goes. i go back thursday. i have another appt with him in 4 weeks to see how it is healing. i then had physical therapy. i learned simple exercises to help increase the muscle and movement. i'm anxious for the swelling to go down so i can see what it really looks like. and i LOVE my harry potter lightning bolt scar. wicked cool.
