overnight

as warned- the numbness slowly started to wear off around 5pm. casey made homemade lasagna and garlic bread last night and lauren and ryan came over for dinner. she brought me 2 big tubs of chocolate ice cream and a magazine! the pain accelerated quickly and i soon realized that 5 mg of hydrocodone was not enough. i was not expecting the pain to be this intense but then all i have to do is think about what they did and i guess it makes sense. i ended up calling the oncall nurse around 7 and he told me to take 600 mg of mortin every 4 hours until morning when the dr. can call me something stronger in to the pharmacy. i slept horribly. up every hour or so. hopefully the nurse calls me back soon so i can go get better drugs. this happened with my amputation too. they had to give me stronger stuff. well, i think i am going to try to go shower with a bag. exciting, huh?

pictures soon to come. much to my disappointment my hand is bandaged and i can't take it off until my post-op appt next tues. im so anxious to see how it looks! hopefully getting the stitches out arent as horrible as they were with my amputation. lord was i swearing like a truck driver. remember that mom?
